When your name is Usain Bolt, and you run faster than a lightning bolt, you can't help but think that the Latin phrase Nomen Omen (the name is a sign) makes sense. Interestingly enough, there are more than a few examples of famous people whose name perfectly matches their role.

When your name is Usain Bolt, and you run faster than a lightning bolt, you can't help but think that the Latin phrase Nomen Omen (the name is a sign) makes sense. Interestingly enough, there are more than a few examples of famous people whose name perfectly matches their role.
For example, in addition to Bolt, we can think of Bernie Madoff, the fraudster who made off with the money. Bob Rock, musician and producer of heavy metal groups. Dudus Coke, Jamaican drug gang leader. Jules Angst, psychiatrist. And last but by no means least, Thomas Crapper, toilet inventor. Not to mention how many Mr Drivers must work in cab companies. How many Mr Nails are carpenters or Mrs Blooms are selling flowers.
So it was no surprise at all when we discovered that Dr Smilez opened a dental clinic in Pondicherry. We would only be curious to meet the graphic designer who made the sign hanging outside his office and give him our warmest compliments.
